grain.art is a microbakery in Norwalk, CT that specializes in non-wheat baked goods – specifically cookies right now. It stems from a long obsession the owner has had with using rye in every batch of bread and beer he made. Finally trying it in a chocolate chip cookie was a revelation and led to the creation of this company.

We source as many of our ingredients from local sources as we can, keep our grains as whole as possible, and design recipes that emphasize their unique flavors. We hope to highlight the amazing spectrum of grain options that are out there and encourage others to experiment as well.

At the end of the day, having a broader spectrum of foods to choose from is good for us, farmers, and the planet as a whole.

We currently only sell wholesale and on commission inside lower Fairfield County, Connecticut.
